About the Venue

The National Motorcycle Museum opened to the public in 1985. Twelve months later, the event venue opened its doors. Over the years, the National Motorcycle Museum has gone from strength to strength operating as a world renowned museum as well as one of the region’s most successful event venues.

Ideally located, situated in the heart of the midlands at Junction 6 of the M42 and only 5 minutes from Birmingham International Airport and railway station delegate travel could not be easier. Combine this with over 700 free parking spaces and 13 dedicated private event spaces, you couldn’t wish for a better or more flexible venue. With our 2 hotels located only 5 minutes away providing over 200 beds between them, the National Conference Centre really does have it all.

Getting to the National Motorcycle Museum

By Road

The National Motorcycle Museum is located directly on the J6 island of the M42 motorway, directly opposite the NEC near Solihull in the West Midlands. Once you are on the A45 and in the vicinity of the NEC and Airport, please look for our highway brown signs.

Sat Nav postcode is B92 0ED, however please follow brown signage when in the near vicinity.

Car Parking

You can park your car, motorcycle, van or motorhome for free in the Museum car parks which are situated on site.  We also have overflow car parks for busy event days. There are designated car park spaces for disabled visitors near to the Museum entrance.

Visitors driving motorhomes or towing caravans can park their vehicles in the large overflow car park which has plenty of manoeuvring space. There are no height restrictions entering or leaving the site.

By Public Transport

By Bus

The nearest convenient bus stops are situated at Birmingham International railway station or at Birmingham International airport. Both of these transport hubs which are only a very short taxi journey from the Museum. For more details see jp.networkwestmidlands.com

By Rail

The nearest main line station is Birmingham International which also serves Birmingham Airport, the NEC & the Museum. There is a taxi rank at the station with a journey time of less than 5 minutes to the Museum.

Birmingham International station is well served via Birmingham New Street Station which in turn has regular services from both London and all major UK cities. See www.nationalrail.co.uk

By Air

Birmingham International Airport is situated very close to the Museum and is served by all the major European airlines.  There is a taxi rank at the airport with a journey time of less than 5 minutes to the Museum.
